Another win sees the Under 14's stay top

Only one game this weekend and it was the Under 14's in action at home against Cambourne Eagles.

Both teams started well with Cambourne netting first, but unfortunately for them it was offside.

Potton Colts then rallied with Liam battling hard. Eventually the hard work was rewarded with a great individual goal from Liam that left the Cambourne keeper with no chance.

Potton kept up the pressure and it wasn't long before Zen scored a great second goal.

However Cambourne didn't let their heads drop, kept up the pressure and soon got back in the game with a goal. At half time it was finely balanced at 2-1 with Cambourne looking like they were coming back into the game.

The second half started the same way with Cambourne pressing hard but Potton resisted the pressure. We had a couple of chances and eventually it fell to Bobby who struck it well into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

It continued with both team getting chances and eventually Zen knocked a header in that slipped past the keeper to make it 4-1. It stayed that way for a while, but towards the end Cambourne got a consolation goal to make it 4-2.

Well done Under 14s for another battling performance that keeps us top of the league opening up a 4 point cushion.
