Potton United Youth 3-1 Histon
Histon were the visitors for the second double header post lockdown. We started brightly and Olly Young scored a great solo goal in the first minute.
Oliver Adnitt had a great half as a wing back getting up and down the pitch and putting some beautiful corners in which we should have took more advantage of.
Deon managed to get onto one which put us two up and in control.
A defensive lapse allowed Histon to score a header and we went into half time leading 2-1.
A further goal for Olly Young, assisted by Josh Wilson gave us the 3-1 win.
Man of the match was Noah for making some vital saves in the second half.
Histon 2-2 Potton United Youth
A quick break and we got on with the second game. We had a couple of penalty appeals before we finally got one following a great run from Kieron.
Olly Young stood up and calmly side footed into the net.
The second half we created chances but could not finish the game off. Several injuries and forced changes disrupted the formation and they scored through a long ball over the top and a free kick
We equalised immediately after with a cross from Toby allowing Jake to neatly tuck away. Final score 2-2.
Man of the match went to Josh Wilson.
Next week we are away to Witchford for another double header.
Thoughts of all at the club are with Oliver Adnitt following his injury. Hopefully see you at the home games cheering on the boys!
