It was the prequel to the cup final today and the second time we've played Isleham this year with the away leg ending in a tightly contested 1-1 draw. There was a great turnout of supporters from both sides watching what turned out to be another tight match.
Potton Colts FC 1-0 Isleham Utd.
The first half probably saw Potton Colts have more of the chances with the Isleham keeper producing a good stop to prevent Zen's good strike hitting the back of the net. The first half ended goalless though.
The second half saw more of the same with Oscar hitting the crossbar with a header from a good cross. However Isleham Utd continued to defend well and slowly started to push more. The Potton defenders also continued to get some good tackles in when it mattered. It looked like a goal might come for either side but the clock kept ticking and still no goals.

It was late in the second goal when Bobby got the ball at his feet, surrounded by Isleham players and somehow managed to fire a lovely shot past the keeper into the back of net. Isleham kept pushing and had a spell of multiple corners that were all kept out.
So, it ended 1-0 and a good win for Potton Colts that sees them open up a 6 point advantage in the league over Sawston who we face next week at home.
WELL DONE TEAM & thanks to Roy for reffing and James for linesman duty (plus all those that helped with nets, and keeping everyone fed with tea, coffee and chocolate.
Next up Sawston at home.
