U14 Potton Colts 1 - 3 Isleham United

Writer: Potton Utd YouthPotton Utd Youth

The lads did their best today in very difficult conditions but were ultimately beaten by a team with better strength in front of goal.

Going in to half time 0 - 3 down was hard and spirits were low, but a goal from Luca midway through the second half gave hope to us, but it wasn't to be and we go in to the Christmas break thinking of what could have been.

Our thanks to Gino being the referee today, he did really well and matched the lads for committment in the poor weather, thanks also to Jake's dad for helping get the pitch ready.

After Christmas and for the rest of the season both Nigel and I need more help from the players parents on match days. We need volunteers to help run the line or wear the respect bib without being chased, people to arrive early and help put the corner flags, nets and respect barrier up and then take them down. Perhaps someone could put a rota together and let us know who can do what?

Merry Christmas, see you in 2020.
