Potton United Football Club and Potton Colts Football Club are pleased to announce a closer working relationship between their two organisations.
Forty years after their formation, the Colts have renamed as Potton United Youth, a change sanctioned by the Bedfordshire Football Association.
The closer tie up recognises some of the Youth age groups currently using the pitch and facilities at the Hutchinson Hollow.
Both clubs will continue to operate independently with their own general and finance Committees and are united in their aims to increase participation in football for all age groups from the local community and to enhance the existing training facilities for the benefit of both clubs.

About Potton United Youth
We are a Chartered Standard youth football club, formed in 1980 to provide football for the youth of Potton & the surrounding area. The Club has won the Best Chartered Standard Club Award for Bedfordshire three times, and for the East Anglia region twice. Our teams play in either the Cambridge Mini Soccer League or Cambridge & District Colts League.
This year it's our 40th anniversary & the Club continues to provide football for the boys & girls of Potton and the surrounding area. Players of all abilities are welcome and everyone plays. We do not do trials.
While we wait for the Football Association to confirm the date when the youth leagues can restart, the Club is busy preparing for next season and is now looking to recruit players for all its teams.
2020 - 2021 season
Next season we will have teams at the following age groups all playing:
All teams play on Saturday mornings except our Under 18's who play matches on Sunday.
Last season was a good one for our Under 17s, and they'll continue to play Sundays and we hope it will provide a path into the Potton United setup.

For younger players...
The Club will again have Saturday morning FUN development sessions for 4 to 7 year olds (boys and girls) which has proved to be very successful. The sessions provide an opportunity for children who like to play football to learn skills, and if they want to progress into our teams.

Get involved
The Club is run by volunteers, and we actively encourage people to get involved, and will pay all course fees for those wanting to become a team manager, coach or referee.
