Potton Colts take sting out of Hornets

Potton Colts #under14's took the sting out of Histon Hornets with a wet and windy cup win.

Potton Colts 4-1 Histon Hornets

We started well with Liam forcing a couple of great saves from the Histon keeper and all the early pressure from Potton. Against the run of play Histon then broke through and scored to go 0-1 up and had a spell of play before half time that included a few more chances.

Shortly after the second half started Potton answered back with Liam sliding a great ball through to Thomas who finished nicely to make it 1-1.

Midway through the second half Harry surged through and won a free kick which Bobby took well but once again the keeper saved well. We continued to pressure from the corner but without reward.

Pottons persistence then paid off with Zen scoring a great goal to put Potton ahead. Once ahead Potton Colts kept pushing and and soon got their reward with a quality goal from Thomas.

And before the final whistle Bobby then scored a well deserved corker to make it a 4-1 win that means Potton Colts move onto the Semi-final against Willingham Wolves.

Well done Potton Colts #under14's.
