"It was like watching the Liverpool front three", that's how the referee described the Potton forwards after today's match.
Today's Colts team were amazing and made a very good Histon team look average. Our goalie played a blinder, our defence constantly pressured Histon into making mistakes, our midfield were relentless in hustling Histon off the ball and our forwards firing on all cylinders up front.
What was really pleaseing to see was the way that we played the ball on the ground from deep in our own half all the way up to shooting in front of goal at the other end, pure confidence from all the team.
We are now unable to win the league but guaranteed a minimum of thrid place, a superb result in our first competitive league.
Next up Saturday 5th May 2018, 10am kick-off at home v Bottisham.
