Manager's Match report
Our season began with what we knew would be a tough first game against a very good Soham team.
The opening five minutes were quite tight as both teams got used to playing again after the Summer break. On seven minutes, Potton took the lead through Liam. Five minutes later, he got his second of the game as Potton began to take control. Potton then brought on new signing Bobby and it didn't take him long to get his first Potton goal on thirty one minutes. Liam then completed his hat-trick a minute later.
The second half started with Soham putting Potton under pressure but our defence and Curtis in goal coped extremely well. Ten minutes in, Bobby got his second of the game. Five minutes later, Liam scored his fourth, with Bobby completing his hat-trick a minute afterwards, A number of the lads then had chances before Bobby scored his fourth, volleying in a fantastic cross from Thomas.
All in all, a great way to start the season with strong performances from every member of the team.
